How Window Film Works
“We Can’t Believe How Badly Our Furniture Faded.”
The good news is that professionally installed, high-performance window tint film is specifically designed to alleviate sun-damaging effects by blocking up to 99% of UV rays and reflecting more than 78% of the sun’s heat. Residential window tinting goes to work immediately to protect:
- Paintings & Photographs
- Wood & Upholstered Furniture
- Blinds & Drapery
- Wood Floors
Light, Yes. Heat & Glare, No.
Solar radiation from the sun is divided into three main components:
- Visible light we can see.
- Infrared rays that we can only feel.
- Cancer-causing ultra-violet rays (UV-A and UV-B).
As solar radiation strikes a piece of glass, window film blocks harmful UV rays and regulates the levels of infrared heat and visible light passing through the glass. The amount of heat and light rejected is all dependent on the type of window film selected. Ask us for more details.
It’s Never Too Late to Tint Your Windows
When it comes to window tinting, sooner is better than later. Most window film we use for residential window tinting in Atlanta, Blue Ridge and North Georgia is so subtle in appearance you will hardly realize that the windows have been treated. With residential window tinting, you’ll enjoy year-round use of your rooms without annoying hot spots and glare, and you’ll have the peace of mind of knowing you have protection against fading.
